Tuesday Night Paddles - Summer 2026

The PCC summer schedule runs from May to September (see locations below). Tuesday night paddles will be at various locations in and around Torbay and South Devon, meeting times will be at 7pm (unless stated otherwise). There will be no changing facilities at these locations and the club trailer will not be brought due to parking and security issues.

If you wish to hire a club boat and/or borrow PCC kit for any Tuesday club session, please contact us at least 2 days before to organise.

New rules laid down by British Canoeing will mean the organisation of Tuesday night summer trips have changed, the main differences are that the trips will require risk assessments, grading (1 sheltered, 2 moderate, 3 experienced) and will need to have officially designated supervisors. For the month of May the supervisors will be committee members but we will be asking for (suitably qualified and experienced) volunteers to help run these sessions. All paddlers attending must have the equipment and skills needed for the trip, which as a minimum includes knowing how to rescue and be rescued.

Reminder: All Paddle sport has a certain risk to it. It is not and never will be 100% safe. Anyone attending any and all Paignton canoe club activities does so at their own risk. All paddling trips and events are entirely weather dependent and because of this can be cancelled (and are often organized) at any time up to the last minute.

Tuesday night summer paddles will be designated as supervised trips and will or will not go ahead at the discretion of the trip supervisor and/or committee.

The Number shown after the Date is the Plymouth High Tide time. For HT Dartmouth, add 25 mins (springs) or 15 mins (neaps). For HT Torquay add 45 mins (springs) or 25 mins (neaps). For HT Exmouth, add 50 mins (springs) or 30 mins (neaps).
